Gretna Hall Hotel Wedding Accommodation
Gretna Hall was built in 1710. By 1792 it was a coaching inn and was the first stop the coaches made in Gretna Green.
Being much grander than the local ale houses of the time it secured a higher class wedding clientele.
Many a nobleman or aristocrat was married within these walls as the Marriage Register confirms!

Archibald Drumlanrig, son and heir of the Marquis of Queensbury, eloped on horseback to marry Miss Caroline Clayton at Gretna Hall in 1840.
They inherited the large wooded estate of Kinmount approximately ten miles away, near Annan.
The Queensbury-Clayton suite, decorated in burgundy and gold with views
down the front drive, is one of our most luxurious suites. The suite has

lounge area, four-poster bed, period bathroom, television and DVD player.
