Renewing Wedding Vows Gretna Green

Couples who are already married need not miss out on being part of the romantic Gretna Green legend. There is a choice of ceremonies performed by our blacksmith's or by a minister over the anvil.

These are the three things you must do to enable you to renew your wedding vows:

1. Telephone us on 0(044)1461 337 635, or email us with your proposed date which we will then hold for two weeks. If you do not confirm your booking within two weeks your booking will be automatically cancelled.
2. If you want a religious ceremony you must contact one of the ministers from the list we will supply.
3. Fill in the booking form and send it to us together with your room hire fee. We will then send you a confirmation.
4. Please make us aware of anything which is important - is it a special anniversary? Is it a surprise? Would you like to exchange new rings?

If you are just passing through Gretna Green then our blacksmith may be able to give you a blessing (provided you are willing to wait for a free moment) - this ceremony is on a donation only basis and is not pre-bookable.

Wedding Anniversary: Complete Renewal of Vows Package with the Gretna Hall Blacksmith

Total Cost: £750.00
Deposit to confirm booking £75.00

The Complete Package includes:

1. The traditional Renewal of Vows Ceremony over the anvil with the Blacksmith in Gretna Hall Blacksmith's Courtyard.
2. Two nights accommodation in a superior room at the historic Gretna Hall Hotel, including breakfasts in your room if you prefer. The hotel was built in 1710 and stands in its own landscaped grounds. Situated in the heart of romantic Gretna Green it was the scene of many runaway marriages.
3. A bottle of Vintage Champagne and hand made Chocolates in your superior room.
4. Six "8x6" colour photographs, plus two free 12" x 10" colour enlargements of your choice.
5. A traditional Scottish piper to escort you into your ceremony and afterwards around the romantic and picturesque hotel grounds for your photographs.
6. A Certificate to commemorate your special day.
7. The services of a ceremony co-ordinator and Blacksmith.

This historic venue has been both observer of and participating venue for runaway weddings for 250 years. By taking advantage of this unique package should ensure that you have a memorable stay and become part of the romantic history of Gretna Green.
